Taylor McCann and Mike Boitnott won this weekend on the Potomac River. They brought 5 fish to weigh-in for a total of 17.40 lbs. In second, with 15.55 lbs, was Scott Favors and Matt Bradshaw. Third place went to father son team, Tim and Nick Covington with 15.50 lbs. Big fish of the tournament, and currently, the biggest fish of the season, was caught by Paul Smith and weighed a whopping 7.75 lbs. With this catch, Paul Smith will be inducted to the Battlefield Bass Anglers Hawg Board.
Most teams reported a tough day on the water Saturday. The water temperature was in the mid 50’s with a cool morning, warming up to the mid to upper 60’s by weigh-in. Water clarity ranged between muddy and clear depending where on the river our anglers traveled to.
The next event is at the Chickahominy River on May 19th.
