Recap

Shawn Phipps and David Hooker took home first place during the Potomac River tournament with a 16.30 lb bag. Second place went to Scott Favors and Matt Bradshaw with a bag of 12.90 lbs and third was awarded to Taylor McCann and Liz Urban for their 11.55 lb bag. The big fish of the tournament was caught by Andrew Patterson and weighed in at 4.95 lbs.

The Potomac River showed it’s wilder side during this event. A West breeze blowing 15 – 20 kts whipped up some big waves and even claimed a couple boats. Tow Boat Potomac was busy all afternoon. The water temperature was in the 80s and stained. Without the wind, it would have been a hot day on the water with sun constantly beating down.

The next points event is September 16th on the Rappahannock River.
